Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is coming to PS5. Creator Hideo Kojima appeared on the Summer Game Fest kickoff stream, chatted about his next project, and debuted a trailer for the Death Stranding: Director’s Cut with some distinct Metal Gear elements.
Captured on PS5, the trailer showed Sam “Porter” Bridges exploring a small stock room, dumping out a box of oranges, and hiding inside just like Solid Snake. At the end of the trailer, a title sequence came up revealing the Director’s Cut, followed by a PS5 console shot. Host Geoff Keighley remarked that the full reveal is “weeks away” and that the PS5 update is coming soon.
